This is a classic martini with a wee twist….

  • 1 part Grey Goose Vodka

  • 1 part whipping cream vodka
  • 4 drops Dry Vermouth

Pour into a shaker filled with ice and shake for 20 seconds. Strain into a well chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

The Autumn Martini

Living in an area where thousands of apples are growing and now being harvested, makes one think that a special drink should be posted. Maybe this is it….

  • 1 part Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1 part sour apple schnapps
  • 1 part pomegranate juice

Pour all ingredients  into shaker filled with crushed ice and shake well. Pour into chilled martini glasses and add a slice of  apple to garnish.

This drink should smell like a red delicious apple.

Yummmmmm………….

Cosmopolitan Degree

This will make everyone who sips this, think you are really an excellent bartender and smart to boot.

  • 4 parts Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1 part Triple Sec
  • 1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 parts cranberry juice
  • 1 part Cassis liqueur

Pour all the ingredients in a shaker filled with crushed ice and really shake well.

Strain into well-chilled martini glasses and garnish a fresh fig wedge.

Wait for it…….all the oohs and ahhs will warm your heart for sure.

Spicy Martini

It has been awhile since I posted yet another martini recipe, but seeing as this is the Wine Festival week here in the Okanagan (and we were at a Chef Cooking Class Dinner last night) and are attending a Crush Club luncheon today, a martini would be a break in the wine (or is that whine) run we are having.

  • 6 parts Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1 part Cinnamon Schnapps
  • 1 part Creme de Framboise  or Chambord
  • Dark chocolate shavings

Pour all the ingredients (except shavings) into a shaker filled with crushed ice. Shake well and strain into well chilled martini glasses, and top with the chocolate shavings.

Now, isn’t that a great way to greet guests? Hon….are we expecting company?

Sweet Chocolate Martini

It’s been a while since we shared a drink, so I thought we could start up again with this one. I mean, who doesn’t like chocolate?

  • 1 part Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1 part Amaretto
  • 1 part Kahlua
  • 1 part Bailey’s (read procedure first)

Pour all ingredients in a shaker filled with cruhed ice and shake well for a couple of seconds. Strain. Pour into chilled martini glasses. Top with 1 part Bailey’s.

Now, wasn’t that worth the wait? Enjoy!

Lunch on the Run Martini

My husband’s oldest son says I never put on a real martini.  This one is for you and let me know how you like it. I promise this one won’t hurt….private joke, hey Trev.

  • 4 partsGrey Goose Vodka
  • 1 part Dry Vermouth

In a shaker filled with crushed ice, shake really well and strain into a chilled martini glass.

Now for the lunch part…..garnish with a Kalamata olive, a green olive, a cocktail onion and a cucumber slice. Who says I’m not looking after you.

Strong Winds Martini

Haven’t posted a good martini for awhile. Sorry, been busy baking. Here is one you will like. Makes a pretty drink.

  • 4 parts Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1 part Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 part Mango Nectar
  • 1 part lime juice

Pour all ingredients in a shaker filled with cracked ice and shake well. Strain into chilled martini glasses.

NOW, using the back of a spoon inserted into the martini glass side, slowly drizzle Cranberry Juice concentrate to create layers.( Like a Pousse Cafe, except it is a martini.)

Now that sounds so good, I am going now to make one for me. Enjoy!

Scotty Bit Me Martini

This is for those who like the tartar to be removed from their teeth and their hair to stand on end…lol

It is a classic martini to enjoy.

Make sure your martini glasses are frosty cold.

  • 15 parts Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1 part good Scotch
  • dash of Drambuie

Pour the scotch into the glasses and swirl around to coat the inside completely, then discard.  Add the vodka and if you can stand the competition, add a dash of Drambuie so it floats on top.

  • I made the mistake of keeping the scotch in the glass and made the martini. I served it to my stepson and he almost croaked. It was SOOOOOO powerful. Needless to say, he didn’t drink it.

Okay, now if you are still standing, make a wish for the New Year. I’m going to go and find another one….

Rudolph’s Red Nose Martini

This is the time of year to make the drinks look festive and, therefore, more enjoyable. You can dip the rims of the glasses in vodka and twist in raspberry syrup.

  • 4 parts Vodka (Grey Goose is the best)
  • 2 parts Chambourd (Black raspberry)
  • 2 parts Creme de Cassis

Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with crushed ice. Shake until well blended and cold. Strain into chilled martini glasses, add a raspberry on the bottom.

Hint: If planning ahead, place the vodka in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to get cold.

Thank goodness, I thought I had stopped making martinis…..later.

Ice and Snow Martini

Well, well, well.. it has been awhile since I came up with a recipe for a great martini.  It is funny for the name as it is now summer, but would sure taste good when it is hot outside.

  • 3 oz. mango nectar
  • 2 oz. Grey Goose Vodka
  • 1/2 oz. cream
  • 1 oz. Creme de Banana
  • 1 oz. Grand Marnier

Fill a shaker three-quarters full of crushed ice. Add all the ingredients and shake for a couple of seconds to let it get cold, now strain and pour into  your sexiest martini glass. Add a few pieces of mango, chopped fine. For more “pizzazz”, add a strawberry and orange spiral on a toothpick and let it rest on the side of the glass.

Yumm!
